Platform For Artists is a community organisation with 30,000 artists across the country. It was founded in April 2017, since then it has been able to connect with artists from 25 cities across India. These artists include - writers, designers, painters, photographers, dancers, singers, musicians, hip-hop artists, magicians, chefs, handicraft artists, and people with other creative interests. Some of the major flagship projects launched by us are PFA Art All Night, PFA Art Getaway, PFA Exhibition, PFA workshops, PFA Open Mic, UNSEEN and UNREAD.

UNREAD is an anthology comprising the works of 99 writers from all over the country, launched annually by Platform For Artists. It is a collaborative effort that strives to bring together artists and aspiring individuals under the same umbrella. The main aim behind UNREAD is to amplify and represent artistic voices in the country and provide a platform to budding storytellers, writers, and poets. 

UNREAD is a manifestation of the growing spirit and potential of the Indian creative community. For the previous editions of UNREAD, we had some of the most brilliant people from the ecosystem, like Sharanya Rajgopal from Terribly Tiny Tales, Foram Shah from Spill Poetry, Neha Kabra from The Quill Company, Kopal Khanna from Tape-A-Tale, Amandeep Singh, Naveen Kukreja and many others. We are extremely proud to be a part of this diverse and booming community.  

Though UNREAD is usually launched as hardcopies in an offline setting each year, circumstances demand that we adapt otherwise. Hence, we are delighted to announce that, this year we have partnered up with Scrollstack and have decided to publish UNREAD as an e-resource material. The book as a whole and the individual write-ups can be accessed over the internet and read through Scrollstack accounts. This digital approach will also make UNREAD more accessible and inclusive for artists in every corner of the country while keeping the spirit of UNREAD intact.

UNREAD is about passion and conviction, it is about the artists and their extraordinary creative brilliance. It is about the strength they hold to change the world by their stories. Stories have the power to capture people’s imagination to stir up their thoughts, to lead and empower them. The pen is indeed mightier than the sword. We recognize the creative caliber that the young writers of this country hold and want to provide a platform for them so that they might find a greater space to prosper and shine. 

If you are a writer, storyteller, or poet, you can be one of the writers to be featured on UNREAD. To participate, fill out this google form, we will reach out to you if your writing is selected. Make sure the write-up is an original piece, which has not been published or performed anywhere else. Your writing can either be a creative piece, a short non-fiction story, or poetry based on any theme. You are free to be as creative and experimental in your writing as you want to be.
